What a portable charger is for

The Geldol 3.5 kW lets you charge from an ordinary domestic socket. It is not as fast as a wall-mounted unit; its job is to fill the car where no charging station exists, and as a spare on a journey. It is also chosen when the cable supplied with the car has worn out or a second one is wanted.

Using it safely

Drawing high current from a domestic socket for hours depends on the state of the wiring. On older or weaker installations, use the lower current setting, avoid extension leads, and check the socket for heating. For regular charging at home a wall-mounted unit is the better answer.
