Where three-phase power is available, this unit charges a car far faster than a single-phase socket. The 22 kW figure only matters if the car's own onboard AC charger allows it: many electric cars are limited to 11 kW, and on those the station delivers 11 kW.
Three things decide it: whether the building has three-phase power, whether the fuse and cable size suit 22 kW, and how many kW the car accepts on AC. Without three-phase power, or with an insufficient supply contract, a lower-powered unit is the right choice. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
