What the New Trasdata does
The New Trasdata is built for removing an ECU from the vehicle and reading and writing it on the bench. It is used on closed ECUs that cannot be reached over OBD, on locked units and on transmission modules, connecting directly to the microprocessor through its adapter and terminal set.
How it differs from an OBD tool
An OBD tool such as the Kess V2 works without removing anything and is enough for most jobs. The New Trasdata takes over where OBD cannot go: protected ECUs, units needing recovery, and cases where an original firmware backup is required. The two complement each other rather than compete.
