What Multi Prog does
Multi Prog reads and writes engine and transmission control units in bench and boot mode. It supports EEPROM, MCU and flash memory work. It is used for preparing a virgin ECU after a module change, mileage work and coding transmission modules.
The transmission side
Transmission control unit programming is an area many tools skip. When an automatic gearbox needs a module change or adaptation, that capability decides the job. Multi Prog is one of the stronger models on this side.
Points to watch
Bench and boot work means removing the module and following the correct connection diagram. Back up the original file first and make sure the supply voltage is stable.
