Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus Pad Key Programmer

The Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus Pad is a 10.1-inch Android tablet built for locksmith work. It handles OBD immobiliser programming, add-key and all-keys-lost jobs, transponder identification, cloning and generation, remote and smart key generation, and EEPROM/MCU reading for file-based key making. A transponder coil, a Mercedes infrared reading head, a smart key simulator and an OBD matrix switch sit inside the housing. Short answer: Key Tool Plus Pad programs keys on Mercedes FBS3, BMW CAS1 to CAS4+ and FEM/BDC, and VAG 3rd to 5th generation and MQB immobilisers, and Xhorse lists OBD matching for over 20,000 models. EEPROM, MCU and module work uses the supplied adapters. Updates are free; Mercedes password calculation and ID48 96-bit cloning use tokens or bonus points, while MQB48, BMW bench ISN and BDC2/BDC3 need a one-off licence.

What does the Key Tool Plus Pad do?

OBD immobiliser programming

Select make, model and year, then add keys, run all-keys-lost, read the key count or erase remotes. Where the tool cannot read the PIN, the code has to come from the owner's paperwork.

Transponders

125 kHz, 13.56 MHz and 300–900 MHz coils. Reads, clones and generates types 11, 12, 13, 33, 42, 46, 4D, 48, 8A and 8C; ID46, ID48 96-bit and Toyota H (8A) are calculated online.

Remotes and smart keys

Generates vehicle remotes and smart keys from Xhorse universal remotes, detects frequency, clones HCS and fixed-code remotes and renews locked remotes.

PROG

Reads and writes EEPROM and flash, immobiliser, instrument cluster, airbag and ECU modules, including BMW CAS/FEM/BDC/FRM, Land Rover RFA and Porsche BCM. Advanced edition only.

Immo Data Tool

When OBD is not enough, immobiliser data is read from the module and the tablet builds a working or dealer key from that file.

Key cutting machines

Acts as the screen for Xhorse Condor, Dolphin and Panda cutters over Bluetooth. The cutter is a separate product.

Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Cadillac, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Renault, SEAT, Fiat, Jeep, Chrysler, Peugeot and Volvo are also on the OBD brand list. On Renault and Nissan the method depends on model year and key type, so check the vehicle in the tool's list before quoting the job.

How does Key Tool Plus work with Multi Prog?

The Xhorse account links them. Xhorse Multi Prog ships with the MQB48 licence and BMW bench ISN reading; bind it to the same account and the Key Tool Plus can load the NEC35xx cluster data that Multi Prog reads and add a key. To read NEC35xx directly on the tablet you still need the MQB48 licence. The MQB48 and Audi BCM2 solder-free adapters work with both tools, and Multi Prog covers the deeper bench work: ECU and TCU cloning, encrypted MCUs and batch chip writing.

Choose the Autel IM608 Pro II if you want full diagnostics and J2534 reflashing in the same kit. Choose the Key Tool Plus if key work is the business and you want Xhorse remotes, built-in Mercedes IR and no yearly update fee. If remotes and OBD add-key jobs are most of your day, the handheld Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Max Pro is enough. Setup and support

Pre-order check. Send your most common makes and model years; we confirm coverage and which adapter, token or licence each job needs.
Account and binding. Create an Xhorse account, bind the tablet by serial number, and bind any Xhorse cutter or Multi Prog to the same account.
Update. One-key update over Wi-Fi: app, firmware, IMMO and remote databases.
First job together. We walk through the first key job by remote session or video call, then support you remotely.

Honest note: not everything is unlocked out of the box. Mercedes calculation, ID48 96-bit cloning, MQB48, BMW bench ISN, BMW motorcycle and BDC2/BDC3 cost tokens, points or licences, and Toyota 8A, Ford all keys lost, Audi BCM2 and MQB49 5C/5D need extra adapters or cables. Asking for proof of vehicle ownership before making a key is standard practice; Xhorse's own manual says the tool is for locksmiths with the owner's authorisation.

Can the Xhorse Key Tool Plus program Mercedes keys?

Yes. It programs standard and keyless-go keys on FBS3 Mercedes, including add key and all keys lost, reading EIS data over infrared or OBD. The password calculation runs on the Xhorse server and uses a token or bonus points; all keys lost takes two tokens.

Does the VVDI Key Tool Plus do VW MQB keys?

MQB add key is listed. MQB48 (NEC35xx cluster) needs the MQB48 licence, or a Multi Prog bound to the same Xhorse account reads the data and the Key Tool Plus loads it to add a key.

Are Key Tool Plus updates free?
