OBDeleven 3 OBD2 Diagnostic and Coding Tool

OBDeleven 3 is a palm-sized Bluetooth diagnostic tool that plugs into the OBD2 socket and works through an app on your phone. No cables, no laptop, no trip to a garage. It is officially licensed by the Volkswagen Group, BMW Group, Toyota Group, Ford Group (US models) and Mercedes-Benz — the fundamental difference between it and a generic ELM327 clone.

In short: free, unlimited OBD2 diagnostics and live data on any CAN-bus vehicle from 2008 onward. On licensed brands: full-system diagnostics, One-Click Apps for hidden features, and manual coding and adaptations on VAG vehicles. 5 CAN-FD channels, automatic baud rate detection, sleep mode and ignition detection. Works with Android 8.0+, iOS 16.6+ and HarmonyOS.

Three Steps to Start

  1. Plug the device into the car's OBD2 socket — usually in the panel under the steering wheel.
  2. Download the OBDeleven app — Google Play, App Store or AppGallery.
  3. Pair the phone with the device over Bluetooth. That is the whole setup.

The device has a smart power-saving mode: it sleeps with the ignition off and does not drain the battery. So it can stay plugged in permanently — which means you can look at a warning light the moment it appears.

Five CAN-FD channels matter in practice: modules in a modern car do not sit on one bus but several. A single-channel tool reaches those buses one at a time; a five-channel tool reaches more modules faster. Full Mercedes-Benz functionality requires the OBDeleven 3 hardware — the NextGen cannot do it because of its hardware limits.

Cell balance and temperature on Toyota and Lexus hybrid and electric vehicles — early signs of wear.

Car inspection

A checklist for buying used, likely issues by mileage, and a one-scan health summary.

Vehicle information

Year, mileage, engine code and body type from the VIN. On licensed brands, the factory options list too.

Limits worth knowing before you order. From the manufacturer's own notes: 2024+ Volkswagen Group vehicles with the SFD2 security system are not currently supported. BMW advanced diagnostics is unavailable in some countries and some functions are limited on 2024+ models. Ford features work only on vehicles built in the US. What are Credits?

One-Click Apps are ready-made recipes in the app: enable the roadside-assistance function, tie mirror folding to a speed threshold, adjust daytime running lights. Each app costs a number of Credits, bought once. The ULTIMATE plan instead gives almost unlimited access to those apps under a fair-use policy.
