OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) Diagnostic Device
The tools on this page are not one brand: they are the original diagnostic hardware vehicle manufacturers use in their own authorised workshops, together with the software that runs on it. A multi-brand scanner handles most work; when factory-level coding, ECU flashing or access to closed systems is needed, the vehicle's own tool is required. Oto İdeal carries 25 original equipment items.
Original tools by make
Renault and Dacia: Renault Clip VCI, the Clip software and the physical token for online ECU programming. Ford: VCM 2. Volkswagen group: VAS 5054A. BMW: ICOM A3. Mercedes: SD Connect C6 DoIP and Xentry software. Opel: GM MDI 2. Peugeot and Citroën: Lexia 3.
Heavy vehicles
Every truck manufacturer runs its own protocol: MAN T427, DAF VCI-560, Iveco Eltrac, and Cummins Inline 6 on the engine side. See heavy vehicle diagnostic equipment to compare.
Chip tuning and emulators
Kess V2 Master reads and writes ECUs over OBD; Ktag Master works in bench and boot mode. Vehicle-specific AdBlue emulators are also listed here, with separate models for Renault Trafic and Express, Dacia Duster, Opel Combo, Ford Transit and Mercedes Euro 6. See AdBlue emulators for the full list.
Original tool or multi-brand tool?
A workshop working on one make should buy the original tool: it reaches the factory software, performs closed operations and uses the manufacturer's own interface. A workshop covering several makes is usually better served by a multi-brand tool first, then the original tool for the make it sees most. Ask three things before choosing: which model year the tool supports, whether the software licence expires, and whether online operations need a manufacturer account.
Installation and support
Most original tools require a specific Windows version and driver installation. Remote technical support is provided for installation and first use; products are invoiced and under warranty.
